Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Signature Edition
Today was the Windows Vista launch, and Microsoft invited the media and bloggers to visit a five storey home/office gone completely "digital" with Windows Vista. Here is the parting gift received when leaving the place. Yes, this is box #24183/25000 of Windows Vista Ultimate Signature Edition, digitally signed by Bill Gates. This is an upgrade version though, not full version, and requires a previous Windows 2000 or Windows XP install of course. Microsoft Office Professional 2007 and Windows Live OneCare are full versions though.

Alan Vega has a new web site
My hero, who I have been priveleged to meet on several occasions (in London, in Berlin, in Copenhagen), Alan Vega, has a new web site up. Dig this photo with Suicide pal Martin Rev. Also, check out his great art. It's electric.

Gallery hopping in Copenhagen
Just popped by the Nicolai Wallner, Christina Willson and Birgitte Kirkhoff art galleries in the Islands Brygge area of Copenhagen.
Nice paintings with imagery from Sydhavnen at Nicolai's cool gallery. (Nice talking to you, Nicolai. I will see you Brussels!).
The above image is a mobile photo from Kirkhoff.

Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition
For anyone who finds the RAZR's software irritating and the Chocolate's interface confusing, Nokia's shiny, stainless-steel slider phone is a paragon of simple, sleek design. Throw in preloaded ring tones from ambient master Brian Eno, and you've got yourself one damn cool phone.

Shopping and Clubbing in Berlin
Just bought a Joop! suit (size 54, if you must know) on sale in the Gallerie Lafayette department store. The saleswoman - who was a hot little number - put the suit in a Dormeuil Paris bag. That is like serving a Carlsberg in a Heineken glass. Call me a brand whore, but what is left of my brain just can't handle that. It short circuits. I threw the suitbag out, when I got back to the hotel. I will wear the suit with my new Samsonite shoes (yeah, they make shoes, too) and my trademark Victor&Rolf for H&M black tie.
Tonight we are having dinner at the Bangaluu dinner club (don't wear a track suit and trainers; you won't get in unless you are David Beckham). Later we are hitting Rio Berlin and White Trash and a skybar on the 14th floor overlooking the German Capital. [Thanks for the tips, Jesper Elg and Peter Stenbæk].
I am going to the spa now. Expect a very late blog posting tomorrow. Have a great weekend.

Gallery hopping in Berlin
I am in Berlin. Last night I was 'gallery hopping' with two old friends from Copenhagen, both are artists. UC is a painter and multimedia artist, who is currently preparing to shoot the new Trentemöller video in Moscow. SF is an actor and director, who is currently seen in a television ad as a chocolate turtle! (SF is a Berlin debutante and brought his father, who is 80 (sic!) and really cool - especially when he smokes his pipe upside down and asks where the drinks and the ladies are).
First stop was BEAT GALERIE, owned by Francois (who I thought was Francoise and an attractive lady, I was gonna check out along with the art) and another German fella named Markus. It was a two-man show featuring some nice pencil works and a video installation, which we watched in a black leather sofa, while drinking Beck's Gold. [Thanks for the tip, Peter Lind].
Next up was an ARTNEWS PROJECT made by the Danish gallery Mogadishni. Lots of danes there including Julie Nord on the walls and Randi & Katrine on the floor. There were several openings in the area, and we popped around a bit. It was very eightie'ish, we thought, but we quite enjoyed ourselves strolling around in the Mitte art district. [Thanks for the tip, Bob Thorhauge].

Tord Gustavsen Trio
Just received an MP3 of the track "Where Breathing Starts" from the album "Changing Places" (ECM) from a new friend in Berlin. It's gorgeous music. Thanks. (I am going to buy both of their albums on Monday).
