Kohei Yoshiyuki Book to be Published

Hatje Cantz and Yossi Milo Gallery will publish a book entitled, The Park, by Japanese photographer, Kohei Yoshiyuki. The Park is a series of photographs, taken in the 1970’s, in three Tokyo parks (Shinjuku, Yoyogi, and Aoyama), where people gathered for furtive sexual encounters, both heterosexual and homosexual, and where spectators gathered in the darkness to watch and join. The 128-page book, with an essay by Vince Aletti and an interview with the artist by Nobuyoshi Araki, will be released in September.
