Interview with Mark Zuckerberg

Financial Times has a transcript of their interview with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg here. I expect some new ad revenue models coming from the real web-based new media company. As opposed to MySpace, who is now owned by the old media world (Rupert Murdoch may have a young wife, but his company News Corp. is printing newspapers the old way. That said, the geezer is quite visionary, hence the MySpace acquisition). A genuine web company is always more innovative than a pre-Internet company (Google v Microsoft). Young Mark Z. is not revealing anything yet though:

FT: Do you envision always having different strands of revenue stream or do you envision moving more towards a Google model where Google it’s one real killer revenue generator? Is there an AdWords type revenue generator to be had from these connections between users? One revenue model to rule them all? MZ: This is kind of like an annoying answer but we’re not really ready to talk about it. We have a few different things though we’re trying right now. FT: Have you started testing those things yet? MZ: There are some pieces that we have been playing with but a lot of it is going to be coming over the next six months.
